“Tangata Tiriti” is a term that has emerged from kōrero about the rights and responsibilities of tauiwi who have understood Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the first immigration document of Aotearoa New Zealand.

In this wānanga, kaikōrero Darryn Ooi (Malaysia, China) and Dr Alex Barnes (Pākehā), in conversation with Dr Debbie Goodwin (Tūhoe, Whakatōhea, Ngāi Pākehā), discuss their relationship to the term Tangata Tiriti and what they see as important in the current context.
